MRW Supports Secretary of State Kim Wyman and Our State's Election Officials

Mainstream Republicans of Washington would like to go on record as supporting the work of Secretary of State Kim Wyman, as well as all Washington state county election officials and their staffs.  Our information suggests they have done a sterling job in unprecedented circumstances.Mainstream Republicans of Washington also condemns the recent threats which have been made against staff of the Secretary of State’s Office. Secretary Wyman and her staff are nationally recognized for their professionalism in running fair and secure elections. We have full confidence in Secretary Wyman’s leadership and appreciate the hard work of her and the entire elections staff in Washington State.

A look at the hand recount data in the incredibly close 5th Legislative District Senate race reveals an example of the accuracy of the original vote count in King County.  After hand recounting 83,838 ballots, the vote count by candidate changed by only one vote.  That’s a .00001193% difference.  And that’s worthy of major applause.
